Update a Task

  1. Click the row of the task you want to update.

The fields in that row that can be updated will become editable, and the selection column on the left will change to a blue arrow.

If you clicked on the row in error and wish to exit the edit mode, click the blue arrow. The row will return to a read-only state.

  2. Make your changes.

The Task Check List is configured by each organization to mirror their business process.

    • You can edit the description of the task if necessary.

    • If the option is displayed, you can insert or remove an image.

    • Enter a desired reading. Several options may be available.

    • Meter Readings will display the current reading for reference, if available, until an updated reading is recorded.

    • Specifications may display a range and current reading, if available, until an updated reading is recorded.

Final meter and spec readings posted will automatically be populated into the associated asset. If a final meter reading is outside of the acceptable range of a defined specification and the asset indicates that a work order should be created upon failure, a work order will automatically be generated.

    • Most readings entered on tasks are numbers that have a calculator lookup available to enter the value.

    • Tasks tied to a lookup table, such as one to define the condition noted, opens the requisite table upon clicking the lookup control.

    • Click the Failure check box if the equipment failed the designated test / task.

    • Click the N/A check box if the task is not applicable at the current time.

    • Click the Complete check box if this task has been complete.

    • If not already populated, enter your Initials in the available column. Initials are automatically populated upon marking a task as failed, complete, or not applicable. Initials are only updated through these processes when the initials field is blank.

    • To enter a comment, click the button at the end of the row. A text window opens for editing. Enter your comment and click Apply to apply the new comment.

  3. Click Save.
